On Tuesday 6th December, electronic documentation for all NIG regionally-traded products became accessible to Hub-registered brokers via the eDocs portal.
The portal is simple to access and sits on NIG’s industry-recognised online trading platform, TheHub.
The milestone marks a huge step forward for NIG as we become paperless for customer documentation across our entire product range. This move will improve our environmental footprint, saving millions of sheets of paper annually, and most importantly, will dramatically reduce the time it takes for brokers to access customer documents.
The upload of regionally-traded product documentation onto the eDocs portal means a wider range of product documentation is available through our online trading platform, TheHub, than ever before. However, regionally-traded client documents such as Agency Account Statements, Claims, and Credit Letters will not be accessible via the eDocs portal and will continue to be posted to our brokers.
For an introduction to the eDocs portal please read through the ‘Introducing eDocs … a how to’ guide attached below.

The eDocs portal is another example of how NIG is using technology to drive change in the industry, enabling brokers to fulfil their customers’ needs and marks another significant step on NIG’s journey towards being effortless to trade with.
eDocs. Here’s why…
– Instant access to electronic documents to download or email
– Safe and secure storage of documents – accessed whenever needed
– Utilises same system as eTrade – no need for multiple logons
– Good for the environment – millions of sheets of paper saved ever year
Moving forward NIG will no longer be sending out paper documentation for regionally-traded products. This means product documentation for regionally-traded products will only be available via the eDocs portal on TheHub.
Therefore, it is vitally important that all brokers who require access to customer documents are registered on TheHub as this is the only way to access the eDocs portal.
If any individuals trading with NIG are not signed up to TheHub and need access to customer documents they’ll need to register as soon as possible. For more information, brokers should contact their NIG Relationship Manager or Underwriting team.
