At NIG, we’re experts in commercial insurance.

We specialise entirely in commercial insurance – and nothing else.

If you’re not a broker but have an insurance request, please contact your Local Trading Team, who will be happy to listen to your needs and put you in touch with an appropriate broker.

Why NIG?

What really sets NIG apart is our partnership approach. We work exclusively through a network of insurance brokers, collaborating closely with these partners to identify and understand their clients’ risks. We deliver the cover, services and support you’d expect from a national organisation at a local level. Together with our risk control experts and risk management tools, we help clients reduce and mitigate risks in their organisations.

National and local

Our trading model is designed to reflect the differing requirements of how brokers like to trade, with regional offices, a national trading centre, a dedicated schemes centre, an eTrade centre of excellence, and dedicated experts for specialist sectors.

Flexible and adaptable

We offer a wide range of products and the flexibility to create tailored insurance cover that meets clients’ needs. We aim to deal with claims quickly and fairly through a proactive claims approach.

Safe and solid

With over 125 years of trusted commercial experience, we have a wealth of expertise built on a foundation of excellence. We are staffed by a team of highly experienced business development managers and underwriters, who use their expert knowledge to help clients reduce and mitigate risks in their organisations.

How to make a claim

We hope our clients never need to make a claim; however, if the situation arises, our claims team is here to help. We work hard aiming to settle claims quickly, fairly, and with minimum client disruption.

The first step in making a claim is always to contact your insurance broker.
