Important notice Re: Drivers’ Date of Birth data

We’re always looking for ways to improve your trading experience. One way we can do that is by capturing vital information we need when validating a claim to ensure pricing accuracy.

This includes capturing a driver’s date of birth during the claim process.

Why is this important?

By capturing the right high quality data, we can ensure we’re interpreting the information we have correctly which, in turn, helps us to make our pricing even more accurate.

So by collecting a driver’s date of birth in an accident, we can make the most accurate assessment and, if necessary, change to our pricing.

For this to happen, we need you to provide us with the date of birth of the driver, rather than just their age.

Of course, we’ll continue to validate any claim and apply the relevant excess, but we would ask that you obtain and confirm the driver’s date of birth with us at first notification, or if not available, as soon as possible.

For claims already ongoing as of the 14th February 2018, please provide the policyholder’s date of birth if you haven’t already done so, in order for us to update our claim records.

If you have any queries, please contact your Claims Relationship Manager or usual claims contact.
