2017 Future Leaders Alumni Event

Following our successful first Future Leaders Alumni event held last month in November, we would like to thank those that attended and our trainers Des Christofi and Richard Clarke who guided us through the “Creating a fit for Purpose Culture” workshop which created a more interactive and high energy day. We had delegates from the original cohort, 7 years ago through to our most recent graduates, which gave rise to various opinions and debates in the room which keeps days like these incredibly refreshing!

The day started with a dive into various aspects of culture and aligning companies internally to understanding what culture means for their specific Brokerages. The afternoon continued on the aspect of “trust” as an important driver to fostering a culture whilst appreciating sub-cultures within the business. We ended the day with successfully putting the learning’s into practice with the “Tower of Power.”

We received some great feedback from those that attended the day below:

“Thanks so much for a great day, leadership is an ongoing journey and a big part of the development is pulling together trainers like Des and Richard and their wisdom. Meeting like minded leaders from previous cohorts really helped to resonate the common challenges we all face. Bouncing ideas around in an environment that is both safe and conducive is so refreshing.” Francis Bardsley, Head of Placements, Saffron Insurance

“I can’t thank Suz, Anisha and the rest of the team at NIG enough for arranging the day course. It has come at the perfect time for my business and our plans in 2018. Des and Richard are excellent trainers and the course was thought-provoking, engaging and great fun. Getting to know other brokers is also highlight of the day – the atmosphere was relaxed and all delegates were happy to share experiences and advice with one another which is refreshing. Thanks again!” Lucy Elliott, Managing Director, Elliott Westland Insurance Brokers.

“It was a very worthwhile event, providing a number of useful training methods/theories to help set the right culture within an organisation. The chance to share experiences with industry peers enhanced the benefits further, giving varied examples of the challenges we all face.”  Tom Sproulle, Head of Property, Reich Insurance

Leadership is an ongoing journey that we have committed to ensuring that we continue training days like the Alumni event to offer the opportunity to supplement, aid & complement our future leaders experiences. For this reason we have various events coming up, so please look out for more information to be released.

We look forward to sharing next year’s Alumni details with you soon.
