At NIG, we listened to broker feedback and the changing needs of clients to deliver average free and much more. The results are three significant improvements, a raft of new extensions and increases, which together, all add up to a comprehensive product refresh and a 5 star Defaqto rating.
Three significant improvements
The first significant improvement removes ‘average’ from our policy wording. Secondly, increased un-occupancy cover from 30 to 90 days. Thirdly, we included Theft and Malicious Damage by tenant as standard (up to £10,000 per claim).
…lots of gains that add up…
We’ve upped the extension limits from £25,000 to £50,000 for Damage by Emergency Services, and Trace and Access. Plus we’ve increased Removal of Nests (from £1,000 to £2,500) and Compensation for court attendance for partners and directors (Public and Employers liability sections) – from £500 to £750 a day. Loss of Metered Water and Heating Oil up to £25,000 now applies per claim, rather than one period of insurance.
…and a raft of new extensions…
We’ve also added 18 new extensions to Material Damage. These include Emergency Access, Archaeological Discoveries, Illegal Cultivation of Drugs and Third Party Failure to Insure. New Public Liability extensions include Environmental Statutory Clean Up Costs (up to £100,000), Leased or Rented Premises and Legionellosis (up to £100,000). And for Landlords Contents and Rent Receivable extensions, we’ve added Loss of Documents (up to £25,000) and Loss of Investment Income on Late Payments of Rent respectively.
