The Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) replaced the MID portal with a new online platform called Navigate in early May 2024.
Since then, Navigate has suffered intermittent outages which continue to impact user experience. The MIB are aware of the issues surrounding Navigate and have provided assurances that they are prioritising fixes and working to stabilise the portal.
Support with accessing the Navigate portal
The Navigate portal can be accessed here: https://navigate.mib.org.uk
Existing MID portal users (prior to May 2024) which had a valid email address assigned to their MID user ID have been transferred to Navigate. Follow these steps to activate your Navigate account:
- Locate the MIB email containing an activation link from [email protected]
- Follow the onscreen instructions via the activation email to set up your Navigate account.

Password reset requests can only be self-served on the Navigate portal, by selecting, ‘Forgot your password?’ on the Navigate sign-in web page.
