NIG replace lost or damaged tech within 24 hours

The challenge

Working patterns have undergone a vast overhaul since the pandemic. As of May 2022, nearly a quarter (24%) of workers are hybrid working, splitting their time between working from home and the office, while 14% are working exclusively from home. There’s also evidence many workers are doing the occasional day from home. In spring 2022, 38% of working adults reported having worked from home at some point over the past seven days – up from 12% before Covid-19.

This shift towards hybrid working means we’re more reliant than ever on our tech to keep us connected. And it also means devices such as laptops are at greater risk of being lost and/or damaged as they are regularly moved from location to location.

How we can help

We’re introducing a new claims offer for all NIG Office and Business from Home customers with immediate effect.

We’ll now aim to replace specific items such as laptops, mobile phones and other vital bits of kit within 24 hours of a claim being agreed, causing minimal disruption to the business.

This is an automatic offer – no need to opt in or fill in any lengthy forms. If NIG insure these items under the customer’s Office or Business from Home policy the offer will automatically be applied to eligible items.
